Last Sunday we reengaged with Paul's letter to the Ephesians in chapter 4 when he gets really practical about actually "living out" the christian life! In these verses recorded by John Jesus talks practically about living out our lives with Him!
What's the most important part about living out the Christian life?
Jesus says, "Remain in Me!"
We have two choices in figuring out how to follow Jesus in the practical-ness of daily life!
We can try real hard to be good and not bad or we can "remain in Jesus" like a branch stays connected to the vine.
Fruit is not optional in the Christ following life! We must bear fruit! Jesus says, the key to fruit bearing is not just trying, trying, trying! The key is connecting, connecting, connecting to Jesus and fully surrendering to His life which flows through us to bear fruit!
I simply love the practicality of these verses! I truly do want to live a life that looks more and more like Jesus! These verses take the pressure off! I get to connect, surrender and produce as God works in and through me!
It takes the pressure off and brings great purpose into my life!
