Lord God Almighty, we need you to help our hearts.
Jesus, You promised that you were One who would, “Bind up the brokenhearted.” Thank you for this promise. We need you now.
Our hearts have been broken, they are broken, and our experience in this brokenhearted world causes us to sometimes WONDER if you are there and then we are prone to WANDER to where you are not. We start listening to other voices. We are tempted to seek solutions in the wrong places. We end up more broken. And the cycle of brokenness just keeps going.
End this cycle today, Mighty God!
HEAL our hearts, Father! Come INTO our hearts, Jesus! DWELL in our hearts, Holy Spirit! Your presence is the healing balm for our hearts.
Your love pours out mercy and grace upon us. You enter INTO our brokenness. You promise to always be WITH us in our brokenness. You alone have the power to RESTORE us from the brokenness.
So we ask You right now: FILL us again and guide us to this truth:
“And Jesus told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.” Luke 18:1.
You taught us Jesus, the way to not lose heart is to be WITH You. To always pray.
When we pray, you are WITH us and we are WITH You.
Help us learn O Lord, this is the pathway for our hearts: prayer. Help us give our our whole hearts to You, O Lord, all because You have given us Your heart, O Jesus. Thank you.
Help us to keep on praying and not lose heart.
Thank You for calling me to contend in prayer with You for spiritual renewal in every heart, home, church, and this region. Pour out Your Spirit, Lord Jesus, awakening the lost to faith, readying Your church to join You in Your mission and sending workers into the fields ripe for harvest.
