DAY FIFTY-THREE
Father we praise you for the mighty works of your hands. We thank you that as we look back, we can see you always working in advance of what was coming. You were there, always preparing us each step of the way.
Now Lord, prepare us for what you are about to do.
Give us eyes to see you do it. Holy Spirit, fill our hearts so that when we see you move, we join you in it.
Help us not to grow weary of praying, but to find more strength BY praying. Give us the ability to pray more so that we will be ready to join you in what you are now doing and also in what you are about to do.
Give us courage to ASK! Remind us that no prayer is wasted!
Lord you say to us: “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you,” (Isaiah 49:8 and 2 Corinthians 6:1). And then you sent Paul to tell us: “I tell you NOW is the time of God’s favor, NOW is the day of salvation,” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Ready us to join you NOW. Equip each of us in our readiness, in our capabilities, in our capacities.
Remove from us all of our sayings like, “I could never,” and, “Send someone else,” and, “I’m not worthy.” Instead, lead us back to the cross, where your love poured out and your blood covered us and you took our sin, guilt, and shame and gave us your righteousness, holiness, and innocence!
Lead us to the empty tomb where you took death itself and gave us everlasting life!
Lead us to the upper room where your FIREPOWER came upon all the disciples!
God Almighty, remind us that you not only forgave us and cleansed us, you not only moved us from death to life, you have FILLED us!
The devil tries to get us to forget all of this. He wants us to forget that we are 100% righteous in your eyes because of Jesus. He wants us to forget that we never have to fear death because of Jesus. He wants us to forget that you have put your Spirit in our hearts because of Jesus!
Lord God Almighty, remove the governors from our engines. Fill us again and make us READY so that when you put the pedal to the floor, we REV UP to the FULL, like a well oiled machine with no limits! Lord God almighty let your internal combustion commence in us...firing us up to be askING, seekING, and knockING on your door in this time of preparation O Lord, so that you are able to ready us for the action you are about to take!
Thank you for calling me to contend in prayer with You for spiritual renewal in every heart, home, church and this region. Pour out Your Spirit, Lord Jesus, awakening the lost to faith, readying Your church to join You in Your mission and sending workers into the fields ripe for harvest.
