Pray100: For our HEARTS

DAY SEVENTY-EIGHT

Father, I thank you for taking delight in me.
As I come into your presence, you rejoice over me with singing, and your love quiets my heart.
I take refuge in you today. You are my hiding place, and I am safe with you.

Teach my heart to turn to you in prayer Lord - that I would not worry about anything, but instead,
pray about everything.
When I’m anxious…help my heart turn to you.
When I’m afraid…help my heart turn to you.
When I’m lonely…help my heart turn to you.
When I’m tired and worn out…help my heart turn to you.

(Take a moment now to ask the Holy Spirit to turn your heart towards him.)

As I turn to you, you show me your heart. Your heart is gentle and humble. It’s filled with your mercy and love. Your love is patient and it’s kind.
It always protects me and never fails me.
Oh, how I love your heart, Lord! I want my heart to look like yours.

So I ask you to forgive me for the times I have chosen to turn to temporary forms of refuge.
Have mercy on me, according to your unfailing love, and blot out the stains of my sin.
Create in me a pure heart and renew a loyal spirit within me.

(Confess now to the Father the things you have turned to for refuge instead of him and thank him for his mercy and forgiveness.)

I also want to thank you for protecting my heart from the evil one. My heart is yours, and no one can snatch it from your hands, Father. I rebuke satan and all his attempts and schemes to distract my heart from taking refuge in you, Jesus, my shield and my fortress. Thank you for meeting me here today and showing me your heart. I love you. I praise you. And I give you all the glory.

Thank You for calling me to contend in prayer with You for spiritual renewal in every heart, home, church, and region. Pour out Your Spirit, Lord Jesus, I pray, awakening the lost to faith, readying Your church to join You in Your mission, and sending workers into the fields ripe for harvest.

Amen
