Jesus, I come to you today thankful that you are the head of the body, which is the church. You are the cornerstone that all of the church depends on and we pray you would be lifted high in everything that we do. As we exalt you and lift you high, You will draw all people to yourself.
I pray specifically for my local church (think of your local congregation) and I ask that you would take your place in all areas of worship and ministry. We pray our pastor, staff, leadership, and congregation would yield to you and your leadership. Let your kingdom come and your will be done in and through our church.
Jesus, you said people would know we are your disciples by how we love one another. Forgive us for the times we have not loved one another as you have loved us. I come against any foul and unclean spirits that have caused division in my church such as the spirit of accusation, offense, fear, pride, religion, apathy and _____________ (name any other spirits that you know have caused division in your church) and I bind and banish them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pour out your Spirit on us and bring peace and unity throughout our body regardless of our background, gender, age, race, and ethnicity. Your banner over us is love. Jesus be glorified and lifted high in our church as we seek you first and love one another the way you have loved us.
Jesus, thank you for calling me to contend in prayer with You for spiritual renewal in every heart, home, church and region. Pour out Your Spirit, I pray, awakening the lost to faith, readying Your church to join You in Your mission and sending workers into the fields ripe for harvest.
