DAY EIGHTY-ONE
God of this Region,
We begin by acknowledging that you are God, and we are not. We worship you and give you all the glory. You are the God of this city, this county, this state, this country, the whole world, and our entire universe.
We love you, Jesus!
We admit and confess that we, the people of this region, have not always followed you and given you the glory. This ranges from simple, innocent ignorance of who you are to conscious decisions to ignore your commands all the way to willful and intentional disobedience of your expressed will.
Wherever we are on that continuum we confess our sins and the sins of this region. Please forgive, restore, and renew us in the name of Jesus! We turn back to you once again.
We thank you for your goodness to us! You send rain on the just and on the unjust. We thank you for the gift of Life we’ve been given, for the forgiveness of all our sins, and for Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross and triumphant resurrection. Thank you for your undeserved mercy and grace to all of the people in this region. We love you, Jesus!
We’re coming to you today asking you to help this region grow in PRAYER!
Help us take Jesus’ words seriously, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and he who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7: 7-8
Lord, we pray this region will be a Praying Region, relentlessly calling upon you for every good and perfect gift!
Lord, teach all of us … all of us who live in this region to pray … to turn to you … to come to you.
We’re coming to you today asking you to grow EVANGELISM in this region! Help your body throughout this region to come together around a common desire that all men and women be saved. Help us to live out the words of the Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28: 18-19 May this Great Commission be our Battle Cry!!!
We praise you...we give you glory. We love you, Jesus! We love you, Jesus! We love you, Jesus!
Thank You for calling me to contend in prayer with You for spiritual renewal in every heart, home, church and this region. Pour out Your Spirit, Lord Jesus, awakening the lost to faith, readying Your church to join You in Your mission and sending workers into the fields ripe for harvest.
Amen
