DAY EIGHTY
Heavenly Father, we come before you today in awe of your unfailing love and your all-surpassing power to bring change. Change in our hearts, our minds, our attitudes, and our everyday lives as your Church, your bride, as we eagerly wait for you.
Father, the time is coming, and has even now come, that you are assembling your church, uniting us as one body, lifting our hearts and voices in prayer each day. Demons are fleeing, and the enemy of our souls fears the power of your people uniting together under Your rule and reign, in Your Name, with one goal and one purpose, that Your Kingdom would come bringing change to the world around us through the unleashing of Your power, presence, and good news by Your Spirit in response to our prayers.
The enemy does not sit idly by, however. As you told Simon in Matthew 16:18, when you gave him a new name, Peter, and told him he and his confession that “You are the Christ,” would be the rock on which you would build your church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. We are standing together as your Church and trusting you to keep your promises. Even the gates of hell will not prevail against your Church. You go on to tell Peter I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. RISE UP CHURCH! You have the power in the name of the Almighty Living God! Unleash it! Bind up the enemy. Be bold. Be courageous. Be the Church that the almighty God has built and that the Savior Jesus Christ has empowered through the Holy Spirit.
Give us supernatural strength when we grow weary, Lord, so that we may not lose heart and may never stop praying. Send us brothers and sisters in our Body to come alongside us as Aaron and Hur held up Moses, to be our tangible, physical help when we grow weary or weak. Give us the strength to hold up our brothers and sisters in the same way.
Help us to rise up, Lord! Help us to listen and to pray. Bring us all together in perfect unity and love as we move forward, being built together as your church through prayer. Jesus, build us as Your church upon the rock of Your Truth so it is not shaken as we cling to Your promise to us, Your Church…that the gates of hell will not prevail against us.
Thank You for calling me to contend in prayer with You for spiritual renewal in every heart, home, church, and this region. Pour out Your Spirit, Lord Jesus, awakening the lost to faith, readying Your church to join You in Your mission, and sending workers into the fields ripe for harvest.
Amen
