DAY NINETY-NINE
Mighty Father, thank you for the tremendous outpouring of your Spirit during these 100 days. You have led us to prayer. You have led us in prayer. You have listened and you have spoken. You have demonstrated to us how to pray again and to pray anew. We have learned so much and know we still have much to learn. You have given so many good gifts to us in these prayers and through these prayers. Lord God Almighty, we thank you.
We are asking.
Jesus, you taught us to be asking our Father, and that He would be giving to us! Father, please hear us as we continue to ask: Grant that these 100 days were just the beginning. Please grow in us the fervor to pray beyond the 100, more and more and more.
We are seeking.
Jesus, you taught us to be seeking and you promised we would be finding! We are seeking you Risen Christ, and we are seeking your kingdom. Father, bring your Kingdom HERE. Let it be HERE among us and grant that it would ADVANCE. Holy Spirit, we call you the Lord and Giver of life: do it here Lord, do it now as you spread your powerful presence in our hearts and homes and churches and our region. You are rescuing the lost, you are readying the church, and you are sending more harvest workers. Make it be, right here on earth, just as it is in heaven. Please grow in us the fervor to pray beyond the 100, more and more and more.
We are knocking.
Jesus, you taught us to be knocking and that it would indeed be opened to us! Help us to see that YOU HAVE OPENED THE DOOR LORD! Help us to believe your promises about prayer! The devil shows up with his native language of lies: ~pray later ~pray tomorrow ~it doesn’t make a difference ~it doesn’t matter ~it won’t work ~what a waste ~ go to sleep.
God Most High: shut his lying mouth. His empty claws remind us of how empty his words are! YOU OPENED THE DOOR TO THE TOMB AND YOU ARE OPENING THE DOORS OF YOUR RULE AND REIGN HERE, NOW!
Help us to keep knocking O Risen Christ: YOU HAVE OPENED THE DOOR! Give us eyes to see that the prayers of the saints are never wasted! Every single one of our prayers goes to your altar Lord, into the golden bowls of incense right there on your altar as you promised in Revelation 5 and 8. Help us to see and know that our prayers are part of your plan to make all things new, to make all things right, and to restore all things. Please grow in us the fervor to pray beyond the 100, more and more and more.
We are contending.
Lord God Almighty, remind us of Epaphras in Colossians 4:12. He was always wrestling and struggling and contending in his prayers for your people so that we might stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God. Grant us this zeal and fervor like Epaphras had! Please grow in us the fervor to pray beyond the 100, more and more and more.
We are asking. We are seeking. We are knocking. We are contending in prayer for our hearts, for our homes, for our churches, for our region, for the lost, for us to be ready for what you are doing and what you are about to do, and for more harvest workers to be sent Lord. Give us what we need to never stop.
We are banking on your promises Jesus, because you took our sins and gave us your righteousness, and then you defeated death itself to give us everlasting life. Come Holy Spirit, and help us to never ever stop. Amen.
