Gracious and merciful Father, You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. So today we bring before You those who are spiritually lost, asking that You would awaken them to repentance and faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ and His saving Name.
(After each of the following petitions, speak aloud the Name of Jesus used in the petition…)
Lord Jesus, You declared, "I am the Bread of Life." We speak this Name over those who are trying to satisfy their souls with things that can never fully satisfy. Break through and feed their hunger and quench their thirst with the forgiveness, fulfillment, and peace found only in You.
Lord Jesus, You insisted, "I am the Light of the World." We speak this Name over hearts darkened by unbelief, confusion, pride, and fear. Expose the blinding lies of the evil one. Let Your light penetrate every shadow of unbelief, and may those who walk in darkness see Your great Light and follow You by faith.
Lord Jesus, You proclaimed, "I am the Gate for the sheep." We speak this Name over hearts that have been closed to Your invitation. Open hearts and lead them by faith into Your flock and the abundant life You freely give to all who believe.
Lord Jesus, You promised, "I am the Good Shepherd." We speak this Name over those who have wandered far from You. Pursue them with Your Spirit. Let them hear Your faith-awakening voice. Lead them beside the still waters of Your grace and into the green pastures of Your peace and freedom from anxiety.
Lord Jesus, You announced, "I am the Resurrection and the Life." We speak this Name over all You are calling from spiritual death into new and eternal life through faith. Through the victory of Your cross and empty tomb, bring the spiritually dead to life!
Lord Jesus, You asserted, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." We speak this Name over those who are searching for meaning, who have believed false teachings or are trusting in themselves. Lead them to trust in You alone as the only Path home to the Father.
Lord Jesus, You said, "I am the True Vine." We speak this Name over those who are spiritually barren. Graft them by faith into Your life. Lead them to abide deeply in You and to bear much fruit by Your Holy Spirit.
Thank You for calling me to contend in prayer with You for spiritual renewal in every heart, home, church, and this region. Pour out Your Spirit, Lord Jesus, awakening the lost to faith, readying Your church to join You in Your mission and sending workers into the fields ripe for harvest.
