Heavenly Father, we come to you today to pray for our Homes. We thank you for our homes and our households. We thank you that you are the protector, provider, and defender of the spaces within which we dwell. Let your peace and your presence dwell in our homes today and every day.
Father, let your Spirit be present in our homes. Let your Spirit guide our interactions with our families and all who enter our doors. Let us be enabled to practice radical hospitality beginning with our own families. May we be the hands and feet of Jesus within our walls.
We ask that you purge our homes of any spirits of division and dissension and help us to be unified around the cross of Jesus, having one mind and one purpose for our homes and our households. To be instruments of your peace, to each other, and to anyone who enters.
As we enter this season of back to school and soon after, the holiday season, I pray you keep our homes free from sickness. Protect us and our household in mind, body, and spirit.
Let us also be aware of opportunities to help others out of our abundance in our homes. Let us give grace, mercy, kindness, and love, tapping into the endless supply from you. Let all who enter our homes leave knowing the endless love of Jesus.
Finally, Lord, we pray for the people of our household who live outside our four walls. Guide and direct their steps. Keep their eyes lifted to the cross. Let them know where their peace and help come from. Hear the prayers of the mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters as they spend time on their knees for those in their household who may not be able to hear their shepherd’s voice over the din of the enemy’s lies. Bind up those deceiving spirits and restore what has been broken in our households.
Thank you, Lord, that your Word is trustworthy and true. We praise you for what you are doing and will do in our households. In the mighty name of Jesus, who is mighty to save.
Thank You for calling me to contend in prayer with You for spiritual renewal in every heart, home, church, and this region. Pour out Your Spirit, Lord Jesus, awakening the lost to faith, readying Your church to join You in Your mission and sending workers into the fields ripe for harvest.
