Pray 100
Lord, today we come to you in prayer for our churches. We know that you have promised that:
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. —Mt 18:20.
It is you who are delivering to us the good gifts of grace, inviting our response, and then sending us out in your service.
Remind us of your grace. Through your work in your Word, baptism, and communion, may we rest in the knowledge of salvation! As the enemy assails us with lies, make your Church bold in delivering your good news that Jesus is with us. Open my heart when I join with the body of believers to receive what you have done for me, and may all the people gathered around be assured of your love through the work of your Church. We contend that all lies of the enemy seeking to cloud Your promises from our eyes be removed. Let us see You.
As we encounter you, let us rejoice! May the songs of your church echo the songs of those gathered in the throne room of heaven (Revelation 5:9-10):
“Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.”
You are worthy! Let our churches respond to your grace with loud voices and joyous songs. May we contend in our singing that Jesus has come for us. Our worship is the response to what you have done for us! We ask that our churches would be filled with these anthems, hymns, and spiritual songs that declare our joy at the work of your hands.
Send our churches out in your service. Let your Holy Spirit guide us as the church doing the good works you have prepared for us beforehand (Ephesians 2:10). May the service we do for our family, friends, neighbors, and communities be the channel through which your love is delivered through your people. Send us out, push back the works of the enemy before us, so that we may do the work you have prepared for Your Kingdom.
We pray for churches be filled with the proclamation of Jesus, loud, joyful singing, and a procession of God’s people sent into His service! Make it so in our churches Lord!
Thank You for calling me to contend in prayer with You for spiritual renewal in every heart, home, church, and this region. Pour out Your Spirit, Lord Jesus, awakening the lost to faith, readying Your church to join You in Your mission and sending workers into the fields ripe for harvest.
Amen
