Romans 12 1-2 (Message Version)
1-2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: take your everyday, ordinary life - your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life-and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
“Lord I give you control. Consume me from the inside out….” This is a lyric from Hillsong United titled From the Inside Out. I want to live this way every day, but I get sucked back into the world and take back control. I resort back to my old ways and don’t want to ask for help and rely on me and act like a deviant child. I am so very thankful that we have a loving Father that never leaves us even after we stumble and fall.
Father, I place my life and all that life entails at your feet. Father, I ask for your to mold and shape me through the happy and sad times. Father, thank you for caring about the small details of my life . In Jesus name we pray, Amen
