1.30.2015   Who will You connect?

Matthew 9:25-38 (NIV) 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. 26 News of this spread through all that region.

27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”     “Yes, Lord,” they replied.

29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; 30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.” 31 But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.

32 While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus.

33 And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”

34 But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.”

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.

36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

This passage shows me that Jesus is connecting with people and when He does their lives were changed forever.

After being asked by the girl’s Father, Jesus went to the girl touched her by taking her hand and raised her.

Jesus touched the eyes of two blind men who, in faith, came to Him and He restored their sight.  Jesus drove out a demon and restored his voice of a man who was brought to Him.

Jesus taught the people proclaiming the Good News and healed every disease and every sickness.

Jesus went to the girl when asked to and accepted those who came or were brought to Him.  He healed and restored the people and told them about God and His provision for them.

He was there for them whenever they came to Him.

The blind men followed Jesus but the other two were connected to Jesus by others who knew Him.  People who were connected to God brought them so they could be connected to Jesus and have their lives changed and restore.  Jesus was available when they came.

The people who connected their family and friends to Jesus were also available to bring them.  Jesus touched each person’s life and they were given a new life.   He had compassion.

Are you connected to Jesus?   If not will you cry out to him to find a restored life and the peace He is waiting to give you right where you are?

Jesus knows sowers and reapers are needed to go out and show the “other one” the way to Him.   People are ready to hear.

Will you and I be available to go out and reach the other one?

Will we go and bring those in our life to the one who can restore their life, give them sight, and a new voice to proclaim the Good News about Jesus.

Who is God showing you to connect with and bring to Him so they too can be connected to the Real God?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you that you are always available to us.  You love and are compassionate to each person who comes.  Thank you!  Thank you for caring.  Lord show us who you want us to bring to you.  Make us brave to invite them to church or Alpha or for US to tell them about you so they can connect with you.  Only you, Lord, can give salvation and peace and joy.  We Love you Lord Jesus!  In Jesus name we pray, Amen
