Heavenly Father, I come to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, my living Savior and redeeming Lord. I name before You people in my life who are lost—those I know who are blind to the truth, deaf to Your voice, and separated from you by their sin. (Lay before the Lord the names -if you know their name- of the people God is calling you to pray for in this prayer…) Right now, these lost ones I pray for do not yet know You, but You can awaken faith in their hearts, just as You did in mine. So I stand in the gap today and wage spiritual warfare on their behalf.
In the name of Jesus, I bind the spirit of deception, self-reliance and unbelief that blinds their minds to the gospel. You are stronger than the god of this world, and I ask You to tear down every stronghold and lie in their lives that is holding them back from trusting Jesus and surrendering themselves to You. (Pray against specific strongholds that the Holy Spirit points out to you…)
Lord, release Your light into their darkness. Let the scales fall from their eyes, just as they did for Saul on the road to Damascus. Holy Spirit, hover over them. Soften their hearts….convict them of sin….stir up a hunger for You….awaken their faith….and draw them with Your cords of loving kindness. Do what You only can do!
Spirit of God, I invite You to orchestrate a divine scenario in their lives, and the lives of all who are lost from You, that would lead them—through faith in Jesus—out of darkness and into Your marvelous light. Cause me to persist in prayer for their salvation. And if at any moment, You invite me to join You in the work You are doing in their lives, I make myself wholly available to you. (Pause to express your availability to the Lord….)
I pray this in the name of Jesus, who is mighty to save!
Jesus, thank you for calling me to contend in prayer with You for spiritual renewal in every heart, home, church and region. Pour out Your Spirit, I pray, awakening the lost to faith, readying Your church to join You in Your mission and sending workers into the fields ripe for harvest.
